Ankara Cyberpark
Cyberpark is one of the leading technoparks in Turkey with the highest business volume, having reached more than 160 companies, around 2300 personnel and over 50,000 m2 closed space, with a management team of less than 10 people.
Ankara Cyberpark's mission includes:
- Creating a cluster of technologically advanced national and international companies, research and academic institutions by bringing them together
- Encouraging the birth and growth of new companies and institutions that contribute to increases in technology development and export potential
- Creating new resources and improving the utilization of existing resources
Cyberpark management focuses on developing qualified technopark support services and facilities.
Some of which are:
- Technology incubation center, where start-ups and entrepreneurs are supported through low cost office space, consultancy and training services;
- Cyberpark DTI (Virtual Technology Incubation Center): It is established by the partnership of Cyberpark with TTGV (Turkish Technology Development Foundation), KOSGEB (Small and Medium Industry Development Organization), and Bilkent University. The center is authorized to give KOSGEB grants to SMEs.
- Special events, seminars and training programs for the needs of the participating companies
- Consultancy related to government grants and favorable financial resources such as EU Framework Programmes, TÜBİTAK funds, etc.
- Conference hall, meeting and Life-Long Learning facilities
- Consultancy and support services through the support companies in Cyberpark. These services include consultancy for legal issues, finance, accounting, PR, IPR and human resources.
- Privileged services offered by Bilkent group companies with special discounts (Sports International, Bilkent Hotel, Tepe Health, Tepe Furniture, etc.)
- Cyberpark Synergy Platform, a web-based platform that facilitates project development and sharing human resources among major stakeholders of Cyberpark, namely Cyberpark companies, Bilkent University academicians and students.
- Scholarship for International Experience & Internship Abroad for successful students of Bilkent University.
- Innovative Projects Competition to encourage entrepreneurship and support innovative projects of Bilkent University students.
OTHER TECHNOLPGY PARKS
Overall Turkey there are 25 STPs. There are 5 STPs in Ankara but three of them are active. These are Cyberpark, METU Teknokent and Hacettepe Teknopark. As they are located inside university campuses, they have an easy access to qualified human
resources in terms of research and development. To summarize, R&D and technology is highly developed in this region, where Cyberpark is located.
CYBERPARK INCUBATOR FACILITIES
Cyberpark established the first private technology incubator in Turkey in Cyberplaza Block B, Floor 2, on an area of around 1,200 m2. Currently more than 20 start-up technology based companies are supported in the incubator for up to 3 years. The success rate is estimated to be 40%. The incubatees are operating in diverse areas of technology including ICT, biotechnology, nanotechnology, new material technologies and environmental technologies.
As a success story, an incubator company established by an academician of Bilkent University, developed a microscope, which can make nano-scale observations. This product is currently sold to very important research centers and universities in different countries, including Oxford University. The incubator activities are planned to be widened by establishing a separate and larger incubator building by 2007.
SUPPORT FOR BUSINESS START-UPs
In the Cyberpark incubator, start-up companies are provided free trainings, eduations about IT and business related activities like marketing, HR, finance etc.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Ankara is known for the multitude of universities and research organizations. There are 10 universities, 55 research institutes and 172 research centres located within the region. The universities in Ankara are as follows: Ankara University, Atılım University, Baskent University, Bilkent University, Cankaya University, Gazi University, Hacettepe University, Middle East Technical University, TOBB Economics and Technology University, Ufuk University. 130.000 people have been studying and approximately 12.000 academians were employed at the universities in Ankara as of 2003

Euro Office Basic Services (Category 1), and Consulting services are provided to the tenant companies by Cyberpark Management Company.
Ankara Cyberpark's main service is to provide appropriate office, industrial and storage areas for tenant companies.
In addition to this main service, Cyberpark also provides some basic technopark services like, internet and communication services, qualified infrastructure supplies, cleaning services, 24 hour security and fire extinguishing services, insurance services, restaurant services, cargo, travel and bank services
Also we provide trainings, workshops, social activities for them.
Cyberpark is becoming a recognized brand known with its success for establishing and managing technoparks. It is a full member of IASP. It has a wide network and close relations with many related national and international organizations.
