The Business Creation Nodes
Within IEBTA/CREA-ME's objective of creating new businesses, since 2005 we have been developing a new model that we have called: Business Creation Nodes
Business Creation nodes are incubation units that operate outside of IEBTA/CREA-ME's facilities. They are done in partnership with universities, technology development centers or big companies. An example of this is the partnership that we have with the Universidad de Antioquia (U de A) for the creation of the "U de A Node" which operates within Parque E. In this node, the Universidad de Antioquia and Crea-me have an integrated portfolio of services for entrepreneurs and their businesses.
A Node provides physical space and human resources to support the entrepreneur's requirements and is reinforced by partner's strengths. Is a joint incubation and operation model based on interinstitutional cooperation.
As of today, IEBTA/CREA-ME has developed eight (8) Nodes and in the short term we would develop four (4) more. These nodes would cover the three (3) main cities in Colombia (Bogotá, Medellín and Cali).
