INCUBATOR PACA-EST
Incubateur PACA-EST supports and finances projects of innovative businesses in the Alps Maritimes and the Var.
With 63 projects supported in 7 years from feasibility studies to business launches, in a large range of topics like telecommunications, data processing, electronics, cosmetics, biotechnologies or software... the incubator acts as a facilitator, accelerating business development, finding good partners, customers, and investors much quicker...
We give support by advices and network, a repayable loan and free housing.
The incubator is a centre of resources for all the education and research centres (Universities, research centres, engineer schools, territorial institutions...).
By the end of 2007, the 63 supported projects created 40 businesses, 258 employees (average of 7 full time jobs per company) and a financial leverage of 12 euros for 1 euro injected by the incubator.

- Marc Daunis, Mayor of Valbonne Sophia Antipolis
- The French Riviera Chamber of Commerce (CCI Nice Cote d'Azur) : It is one of the most influent public organizations, working towards the economic development of the department of Alpes-Maritimes. It tries to boost the existing economic environment of Sophia Antipolis through its different "antennas" in the region, such as Maison des Entreprises (assists private companies and start-ups), Direction des Pôles de Compétence Technologique (organizer of the annual International Venture Capital Summit) and Sirius (the economic observatory of Alpes-Maritimes).
- The Community of Agglomeration of Sophia Antipolis (CASA): It was created in January 1992 and it gathers fourteen towns around a Charter of development. The council of the community is made up of 50 members. CASA is responsible for the planning, the development, the commercial mission and the management of the Sophia Antipolis science park.
- Foundation Sophia Antipolis: This Foundation chaired by the senator Pierre Laffitte, founder of the Sophia Antipolis scientific park, received from the authorities the responsibility of the scientific and cultural animation of the park. www.sophia-antipolis.org
